My curiosity about autism began in sixth grade while growing up in Dixon, California. I noticed a group of students in special education who sat together at lunch and spent recess on a separate playground. Eager to learn more, I was given the opportunity to volunteer in their classroom. Through this experience, I developed a genuine connection with the autism community and discovered a passion that would shape my future career.

In my early twenties, while living in Santa Cruz, I specialized in providing childcare for children with autism while earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Working closely with these children and their families gave me a deep appreciation for the challenges families navigate and how a child's disability can impact everyday life. This experience guided my passion for providing compassionate, individualized support to both children and their families.

After earning my Bachelor's degree, I worked as a paraprofessional supporting a third-grade student who struggled in a general education classroom. During this time, I collaborated with the school's BCBA, who introduced me to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I later joined her private practice, where I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for four years.

During this time, I collaborated with the school's BCBA, who introduced me to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I later joined her private practice, where I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for four years. During those years, I also worked with the school district's newly established inclusion program, helping students build independence and participate more fully in general education classrooms. Additionally, I worked as a social skills teacher at a clinic in San Jose, facilitating small groups where children developed conversational skills, navigated social expectations, and built friendships.

I eventually moved to Santa Rosa, where I continued working in home-based and clinic-based ABA settings. In 2025, I earned my Master's degree in Education from the University of Washington, specializing in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. The following year, I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Throughout my journey, I've come to believe that meaningful progress goes beyond academics and behavior. It's about helping students develop independence, build relationships, advocate for themselves, and feel a genuine sense of belonging. I'm excited to bring this passion to Inspire Behavioral Services, where I can continue supporting students, empowering staff, and promoting inclusive learning environments.
